A well-established real estate organization is seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations and support the organization’s financial objectives. This position is responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial reporting, and providing strong leadership to the accounting team. The ideal candidate combines hands-on accounting expertise with proven leadership skills, and experience within the real estate industry is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and provide direction to accounting team members
• Oversee financial reporting, general ledger activities, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure accounting practices follow established policies and standards
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support leadership and business decisions
• Strengthen accounting processes, internal controls, and overall departmental efficiency

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Real estate industry experience preferred
• CPA designation is a plus
