POSITION SUMMARY Assist the Assistant Controller in overseeing the General Ledger. Oversee weekly audit of corporate stores. Maintain daily banking processes. Stay current with the daily bank processing Oversee Audit of weekly corporate sales report for necessary supporting documentation and identify better processes Prepare and post numerous journal entries for cost allocations and month end accruals Maintain up-to-date Balance Sheet Reconciliations Review monthly P&L's vs. budget. Assist with the annual financial audit and related workpapers Provide Information to the Controller as needed Update marketing COOP Financials and Reports Prepare and review weekly ‘flash’ reports to identify and communicate areas of concern to management team Communicate with co-workers, management, and restaurant employees in a courteous and professional manner Conform to and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions Other duties as assigned that may include: cash, A/R collections, credit cards, gift cards, and other ad hoc projects Adapt to all potential changes within the functions above Continuously learn and look for new, more efficient, ways of doing things Other duties as assigned POSITIONS SUPERVISED None TRAVEL REQUIRED None POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Public Accounting experience welcomed 2-3 years of Accounting experience Strong financial reporting and analytical skills with the ability to accumulate, organize and assimilate data from multiple data sources and the ability to turn data into insights Strong knowledge of GAAP desired Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to communicate with multiple levels of the organization Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerBI, Outlook andPowerPoint) Experience working with Accounting Software Ability to adapt to new and changing technology COMPETENCIES Accountability - Take ownership of actions and results, follow through, and learn from mistakes.
