Lead Line Cook / Kitchen Lead – Sushi Restaurant

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Cook to join our kitchen team at a modern sushi restaurant blending casual dining with fine dining standards. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about food quality, teamwork, organization, and maintaining a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and support kitchen staff during service

Prepare and plate dishes according to restaurant standards

Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation

Assist with kitchen prep, inventory, and ordering

Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards

Train and guide line cooks and kitchen staff

Communicate effectively with front and back of house teams

Help manage kitchen workflow during busy service hours

Qualifications

Previous experience as a lead cook, line cook, or kitchen supervisor

Experience in sushi or Japanese cuisine preferred

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong leadership and communication skills

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Reliable, organized, and team-oriented
