About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President, Market Access to spearhead the strategic and operational aspects of market access in anticipation of a significant commercial launch. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the integrated U.S. market access strategy, with a focus on connecting the product's clinical profile to payer requirements, patient needs, and provider economics. This role demands a leader with a deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, particularly in the areas of buy-and-bill reimbursement, and the economics of treatment across various healthcare settings. The VP will be tasked with owning the coding, coverage, and reimbursement strategy, leading the launch pricing strategy, and designing commercial distribution and patient access programs. Professional qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and over 15 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record in market access, particularly for complex specialty products. The ideal candidate will have significant U.S. product launch experience, direct involvement with provider-administered, buy-and-bill products, and a strong grasp of commercial payer, Medicare, Medicaid, and provider access dynamics. The role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to translate economic considerations into commercial strategy, and experience in building and leading high-performing teams. The VP will also be expected to demonstrate leadership competencies in strategic commercial communication, enterprise collaboration, and a commitment to the values of the company, including a focus on patient-centered care and innovation.
