Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation

Scion Legal Staffing is partnering with a respected litigation firm in Seattle, WA to identify an experienced Associate Attorney to join its growing plaintiff-side practice. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about advocating for employees and individuals, enjoys taking ownership of complex litigation, and thrives in a collaborative, client-focused environment.


The firm represents clients in a broad range of employment and civil litigation matters, including workplace rights, professional license defense, school injury claims, and other complex disputes. Attorneys are given meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact in their clients' lives.



Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload through all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial.
• Conduct client consultations and provide practical legal guidance throughout the life of each matter.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and appellate filings as needed.
• Take and defend depositions, attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Negotiate favorable settlements while preparing cases for litigation when resolution is not possible.
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to develop litigation strategies and achieve successful client outcomes.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients while providing exceptional service and advocacy.
• Stay current on developments in Washington employment and civil litigation law.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the Washington State Bar.
• 5-6+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience independently managing cases from inception through resolution.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Deposition, mediation, and courtroom experience.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Passion for client advocacy and delivering outstanding legal representation.

Compensation & Benefits
This position offers a competitive base salary range of $160,000 to $200,000 , commensurate with experience. The firm provides comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement plan participation, and professional development support.
