Registered Nurse (RN) - Interventional RadiologyWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Interventional Radiology team. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive nursing care in a dynamic and growing program.Position OverviewThe Registered Nurse will support the Interventional Radiology department, providing pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure patient care. The ideal candidate will possess critical care experience and be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver comprehensive nursing care throughout all phases of interventional procedures.Administer and monitor moderate/conscious sedation.Collaborate effectively with physicians, technologists, and support staff.Assist with the development of new interventional service lines and advanced procedures.Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures.Unit InformationNumber of Beds: 5Patient Ratios: 1:4Equipment: Masimo monitoring systems, ultrasound guidance equipment, patient monitoring and sedation equipmentEHR: CernerPatient Population: Adult geriatricQualificationsEducation: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.Licenses/Certifications: Current RN License (Arizona or compact state license), BLS, ACLS, and Moderate Sedation Certification/Competency.Experience: Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, preferably in critical care; prior Interventional Radiology experience is highly desirable.Skills: Strong IV access and patient assessment skills. Emergency response and critical thinking abilities. Knowledge of sterile technique and procedural workflows.Preferred QualificationsExperience in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology department.Skills in vascular access procedures, biopsies, drain placements, and fluoroscopic procedures.Experience in post-procedure recovery of patients under moderate sedation.Familiarity with Cerner EMR.PICC line and port management experience.Personality FitThe successful candidate will be:Self-motivated and adaptable.Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.Calm under pressure and able to respond effectively to emergencies.Patient-focused with strong bedside manner.Positive and proactive in contributing to the growth of the Interventional Radiology program.Comfortable in a small community hospital setting where flexibility is essential.Work EnvironmentThis position requires commitment and dedication to providing the highest quality of patient care in a specialized nursing environment.
