Position Summary

The Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for handling the administrative aspects of servicing loans from the time proceeds are disbursed until the loan is paid off.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform file maintenance on all loan accounts including but not limited to late fee waivers, payment corrections/reversals, auto transfer setup, etc.
2. Process daily loan payments via mail, online banking, repay, and 3rd party servicers.
3. Process Special Assets maintenance requests such as Bankruptcy notices, Non-Accruals, Charge-offs, etc.
4. Process unposted transactions from the previous day.
5. Responsible for reviewing and processing daily Non-Accrual Image Centre reports.
6. Process advances on non-construction lines of credit, via officer requests, to verify that request is compliant with approval.
7. Monitor returned mail, update Horizon, and notify lenders.
8. Process requested payoff quotes and confirmation requests.
9. Responsible for monitoring and processing customer credit bureau disputes through E-Oscar.
10. Interact with lenders and their assistants to provide exceptional customer service.
11. Responsible for updating procedures of job duties as it pertains to related position.
12. Be available as needed to cross train and perform additional tasks as assigned.
13. Adhere to BSA/AML policy and all other bank policies.
14. Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently, efficiently, and innovatively as part of a team
• Must work well under pressure, meeting multiple deadlines
• Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office
• Minimum 1 year of experience in loan operation's environment in a commercial bank or other financial institution
• Knowledge of consumer and commercial lending, real estate, loan documentation, lien documentation, as well as state and federal compliance and lending regulations
