Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to manage the sourcing, purchasing, and inventory coordination of materials and equipment that keep our technicians productive and our customers satisfied.This position plays a critical role in ensuring the right parts, materials, and equipment are available at the right time and at the best value.Pay Rate: $25-28/hrPosition SummaryThe Procurement Specialist will be responsible for purchasing and managing inventory for HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical operations. This individual will work closely with field supervisors, warehouse personnel, dispatchers, and vendors to maintain optimal stock levels, secure competitive pricing, and support the company's operational goals.Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & PurchasingSource and purchase HVAC, plumbing, and electrical materials, equipment, tools, and consumables.Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes to ensure competitive pricing and quality.Negotiate pricing, volume discounts, rebates, and vendor agreements.Issue and manage purchase orders.Monitor purchase requests and ensure timely fulfillment.Inventory ManagementMaintain appropriate inventory levels for all service departments.Monitor usage trends and forecast purchasing needs.Coordinate stock replenishment and emergency orders.Conduct periodic inventory audits and cycle counts.Reduce excess inventory and minimize stockouts.Vendor ManagementDevelop and maintain relationships with suppliers and distributors.Evaluate vendor performance including pricing, delivery, and quality.Resolve vendor discrepancies, shortages, and invoice issues.Identify new suppliers and alternative sourcing opportunities.Operations SupportCollaborate with managers and field supervisors to understand material requirements.Support fleet, warehouse, and service operations with procurement needs.Track backorders and communicate expected delivery dates.Assist in coordinating large project and equipment purchases.Reporting & ComplianceMaintain accurate purchasing records and vendor documentation.Prepare inventory and purchasing reports for management.Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and budgets.Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.QualificationsRequired3+ years of procurement, purchasing, inventory, or supply chain experience.Strong organizational and analytical skills.Experience with inventory management systems and purchasing software.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.PreferredExperience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, or home services industries.Knowledge of HVAC equipment, plumbing materials, and electrical components.Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory controls.Experience negotiating supplier contracts and pricing agreements.Success MetricsThe ideal candidate will be evaluated on:Inventory availability and reduction of stock shortages.Purchasing cost savings and vendor negotiations.Inventory accuracy.On-time procurement and material delivery.Supplier performance management.If you are a motivated professional who enjoys problem-solving, building vendor relationships, and helping operations run efficiently, we encourage you to apply and become part of our growing team.AA Service Company Committed to Excellence, Customer Satisfaction, and Continuous Improvement."The right materials at the right time keep great teams performing at their best."
