Floor Tech

Position Summary Under the direction of the Manager, Environmental Services, the Floor Specialist is an active member of the EVS team delivering professional cleaning services consistent with the strategic vision, goals, and standards of the Environmental Services Department and CRHS. This role performs floor care cleaning, polishing, and maintenance following established schedules and prescribed methods, primarily during night shift hours when patient and traffic disruption is lowest. Basic Qualifications Education: High school diploma, GED, or demonstrated equivalent ability Experience: Up to three months of related experience in care and maintenance of a range of flooring materials, or equivalent combination of education/training/experience Licensure/Certifications: None required Performs routine cleaning in assigned areas following established schedules and prescribed methods Performs basic and advanced floor care using dry/wet mops, floor scrubbers, and vacuums Strips, seals, waxes, and polishes linoleum, terrazzo, wood, and stone flooring using appropriate equipment and products Cleans non-skid floor tile and grout with appropriate cleaners/sealers to preserve non-skid properties Performs carpet cleaning via steaming and shampooing equipment per established schedules Empties trash from common areas and patient rooms on a prescribed cycle Removes medical waste and bio-hazardous trash per established safety, containment, and infection control procedures Responds to STAT floor cleaning requests from nursing/medical staff Prepares floors for special events, meetings, and training programs per work orders Maintains assigned equipment for cleanliness; reports repair needs Observes and reports damage to carpeting/flooringCleans elevator floors and door tracks daily Assists security in restraining unruly patients when needed Promotes teamwork; communicates and reports concerns to management Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.For further information, please review the Know Your Rights notice from the Department of Labor. #J-18808-Ljbffr
