Director of Operations

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee our core operations, drive innovation, and redefine industry standards through intelligent automation. This role involves managing a talented team across multiple locations and evolving our operational systems into a groundbreaking model.

Core Responsibilities

• Executive Leadership: Set the company's operating cadence, own operational KPIs and SLAs, allocate resources effectively, act as the senior escalation point, and contribute to company strategy and planning.
• AI-native Systemization: Act as the business owner of the operations platform. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to transform SOPs into automated workflows with human approval gates, ensuring tangible gains.
• Productization: Standardize offerings by designing and launching repeatable structures, packaging, and pricing. Work closely with various departments to integrate these offerings into the platform.
• Day-one Readiness: Develop systems that enable new products to go live seamlessly, with pre-negotiated vendor panels and sales-ready collateral for efficient onboarding and operations.
• Service Delivery: Manage the full service lifecycle, including formations, licensing, governance, regulatory filings, policy administration, claims oversight, banking, payments, and client financial reporting.
• Accounting: Oversee the accounting department through monthly and quarterly closes, audits, and statutory reporting. Drive the automation roadmap to improve efficiency and timelines.
• Team and Talent: Lead, develop, and grow the operations and accounting teams across multiple locations.
• Vendors and Partners: Manage external relationships with auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel, TPAs, and investment managers. Oversee RFPs, MSAs, performance management, and strategic decisions for operational functions.
• Growth and Scalability: Scale operations capabilities to support business growth in the industry and adjacent sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations leadership within technology, insurance, financial services, real estate, or a similar field.
• Proven ability to build or redesign operating models, including process design, leveraging offshore and managed services, and implementing automation.
• Strong conviction about AI in operations, demonstrated through implemented systems, with an understanding of where human involvement is essential.
• Ability to function as a player-coach, transitioning smoothly between strategic and tactical problem-solving.
• Experience in building high-trust teams and managing vendors with high standards, direct feedback, and low ego.
