Staff Accountant The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role plays a key part in the month-end close process, account reconciliations, journal entries, cash applications, and accounts payable process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities. This role is ideal for an early-career professional seeking hands-on experience in general ledger accounting and financial reporting within a collaborative team environment. Location Dallas, TX | USA | Full-time Onsite Responsibilities Prepare and post accurate journal entries in accordance with GAAP Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Perform account reconciliations (bank, cash, etc.) Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Analyze financial data and investigate account variances Support accounts payable and receivable processes as needed Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions Maintain supporting documentation for audit purposes Monitor compliance with internal controls and company policies Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency Research and resolve basic accounting discrepancies Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues Assist with special projects as needed Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required Proficient in Excel Strong understanding of GAAP fundamentals Strong Candidates will Attention to Detail : High level of accuracy in data entry and reconciliations Analytical Thinking : Ability to investigate variances and strong problem solving skills Accountability & Ownership : Takes responsibility for assigned accounts and follows through on open items.
