Advantage Steel Fabrication of Saxonburg, PA, is looking for a full-time entry to mid-level Welder to weld and fabricate parts for bridges and buildings. Advantage primarily fabricates Steel and Stainless Steel structures.ABOUT THE WELDER POSITIONAs a Welder at Advantage, you will spend most of your time, welding, cutting and grinding. You will also be using a variety of forklifts and overhead cranes to handle material. You will have the opportunity to use a variety of types of welding including FCAW (Flux Cored), SAW (Submerged Arc), GMAW (Mig), and GTAW(Tig). You will work with team members to ensure that your work is completed efficiently, safely and to a high standard of quality that will meet or exceed company and customer expectations.See attached job description for more details.QUALIFICATIONS FOR WELDER2-5 years of on-the-job welding / fabricating experience is requiredMust be willing to learn and apply welding in a code driven shop.Must be willing to work in teams to accomplish a common goal.Must be willing to learn other fabrication equipment such as Saw Cutting, CNC drilling, Press Brake.Ability to cut steel using a plasma cutter or torch.A background in print reading and weld symbols is a plusHigh School diploma or equivalent required; Technical or Trade School preferred.This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work in a heavy manufacturing facility with various safety hazards which are potentially life-threatening to the employee and Team Members without proper safety precautions. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis.
