Your work will directly influence timely diagnoses and positive patient outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & OperationsCoordinate laboratory workflow and daily testing priorities.Serve as the primary point of contact during your assigned shift.Support staff while promoting efficiency, teamwork, and quality service.Help maintain timely turnaround times for patient testing.Laboratory TestingPerform moderate- and high-complexity laboratory testing in:ChemistryHematologyBlood BankMicrobiologyEnsure testing accuracy in accordance with hospital policies, CLIA regulations, and laboratory standards.Quality & ComplianceMonitor quality control procedures and documentation.Review quality data and ensure regulatory compliance.Assist with equipment maintenance and quality improvement initiatives.Technical ExpertiseTroubleshoot laboratory analyzers and instrumentation.Perform calibration, maintenance, and technical problem-solving.Serve as a resource for laboratory staff on technical issues.CollaborationCommunicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, phlebotomists, and laboratory leadership.Report critical values promptly.Help resolve specimen and testing questions while providing excellent customer service.QualificationsWe welcome applications from experienced laboratory professionals as well as recent graduates who are eager to grow into a leadership role.MLT CandidatesEducation (One of the Following):Associate degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program, including chemistry and biology; orAssociate degree (minimum 60 semester hours) including chemistry and biology plus a 12-month structured medical laboratory curriculum; orGraduation from a military medical laboratory training program of at least 12 months.CertificationCertification eligible as MLT (ASCP), MLT (AMT), HEW, or CLS (NCA).Registry preferred within 12 months of graduation.Individuals qualified prior to December 31, 2003, are exempt from maintaining annual certification.MT / MLS CandidatesEducation (One of the Following):Bachelor 's degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or another qualifying science field.Completion of an approved ASCP (or equivalent) certification pathway and applicable CLIA requirements.One year of accredited laboratory training.CertificationCertification eligible as MLS (ASCP), MT (AMT), HEW, or CLS (NCA).Certification preferred within 12 months of graduation.Individuals qualified prior to December 31, 2003, are exempt from maintaining annual certification.Compensation & BenefitsWe believe in recognizing and rewarding the important work our laboratory professionals do.Compensation Includes:Competitive hourly pay: $20.41–$38.56/hourShift differentials for Evening and Midnight shiftsLeadership differentialOpportunities for career advancementComprehensive Benefits Include:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement savings plan with employer matchGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid holidaysProfessional development and advancement opportunitiesCompensation Disclaimer: Final compensation is based on education (MLT vs. MT/MLS), experience, certifications, clinical expertise, and internal equity.
