Advanced Analyst (contract)

What You’ll Do Own and deliver advanced analytics for defined product and business domains within the Host App. Work with large, complex datasets to answer high‑priority business and product questions using statistical, causal, and exploratory techniques. Design, execute, and analyze experiments (A/B tests and quasi‑experiments) to measure feature impact and inform product iteration. Develop and validate metrics and dimensions to monitor product performance and business outcomes. Build and maintain analytical artifacts (queries, dashboards, readouts) that enable stakeholders to make informed decisions. Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, Data Science, and Analytics teams to align on methodology, assumptions, and interpretation. Provide clear, concise insights and recommendations through written and verbal communication, including leadership‑ready readouts. Leverage AI‑assisted tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to increase efficiency and automate repetitive analytical tasks where appropriate. What We’re Looking For 5+ years of experience in advanced analytics, data science, or applied quantitative analysis (industry experience required). Strong hands‑on expertise in SQL and at least one programming language (Python or R). Proven experience designing and analyzing A/B experiments and applying statistical methods to real‑world product problems. Experience building metrics end‑to‑end, including definitions, validation, and implementation in data pipelines. Strong analytical judgment – ability to balance rigor with speed and clearly communicate tradeoffs. Demonstrated ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver against agreed timelines. Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights. Experience in marketplace, product analytics, or business strategy contexts strongly preferred. Familiarity with AI‑assisted analytics workflows is a plus.
