The Warehouse Supervisor plays an essential role in ensuring our fabrication shop and field teams receive the materials they need to keep projects moving.The ideal candidate is an organized, safety-focused leader with warehouse management experience in a construction, mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial environment.What You'll DoWarehouse Operations & InventoryOversee daily receiving, shipping, inventory control, and material-staging activitiesMaintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, audits, and transaction recordsMonitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing requests to prevent material shortagesCoordinate deliveries and pickups supporting fabrication and field operationsMaintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouseEnsure materials are properly received, labeled, stored, and distributedMaintain accurate records using inventory-management systemsLeadership & CoordinationLead, train, schedule, and develop warehouse employeesPromote a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environmentCoordinate with project managers, purchasing, fabrication personnel, and field leadershipPrioritize material requests based on project schedules and operational needsCommunicate inventory concerns, delays, and material shortages promptlyIdentify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, workflows, and overall efficiencySafety & EquipmentEnforce company safety policies and applicable OSHA requirementsOperate forklifts and other material-handling equipment as neededEnsure warehouse equipment is used safely and maintained properlyAddress unsafe conditions and operational concerns promptlyWhat We're Looking For3–5 years of warehouse supervision or management experienceExperience in construction, mechanical contracting, manufacturing, or an industrial environment preferredStrong knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operationsForklift operating experienceForklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certificationStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory-management softwareAbility to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical education or logistics experience is a plusAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in an active warehouse environmentWhy Join VMG?VMG offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:Annual salary of $65,000–$70,000Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and company holidays401(k) retirement plan with company matchOpportunities for professional development and career growthA collaborative, safety-focused team environmentPre-Employment RequirementsVertical Mechanical Group participates in a drug-testing program.
