About This Role The Registered Nurse Non-Acute functions as a caregiver for a specific pediatric patient population, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through effective direct care and coordination with the interdisciplinary team. Highlights Location: Hackensack, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Full-time, Day shift What You’ll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health. Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes. Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care. Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology. Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes. Identify ethical issues in the practice setting. Adhere to HMH’s Organizational and Managerial competencies and standards of behavior. Requirements Education BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire. Experience Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs. Licenses & Certifications NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required. AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering position.
