Job DescriptionJOB TITLE: Quality Technician IDEPARTMENT: Manufacturing ExcellenceREPORTS TO: Quality SupervisorCLASSIFICATION: Hourly (Non-Exempt)SHIFT: 1st ShiftSHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: NoPAY GRADE: 3SCHEDULE: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PMJOB SUMMARY:The Quality Technician I is responsible for observing and monitoring the production process to ensure products meet established quality standards. This position plays a key role in identifying defects, conducting inspections, and recommending improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:•Conduct routine quality inspections on products and materials throughout the production process.•Utilizes various measurements and tests equipment to perform capability studies; documents process performance as required daily.•Document and report inspection results, identifying any deviations or defects.•Assist in the implementation of quality control procedures and improvement initiatives.•Assist production workers on audits, inspections, and calibrations as required.•Maintain accurate records of inspections and quality assessments.•Work closely with other team members to achieve quality goals and contribute to process improvement initiatives.•Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and organized work environment.•Demonstrate MITER Brands Guiding Principles in all business interactions.•Other duties may be assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:•Ability to read and interpret production specifications and drawings.•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.•Ability to prioritize tasks.•Basic computer literacy and ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite.•Great interpersonal skills are essential to operate in and maintain a team environment.•Great communication skills and ability to follow instructions.•ASQ Quality Inspector or ASQ Quality Technician desired.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE•High school diploma or equivalent.•2-3 years of previous experience in quality assurance or a related field.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
