Director Of Warehouse OperationsWe are partnering with an established flooring organization to identify a Director of Warehouse Operations to provide leadership across a nine-location warehouse network. The preferred location is Baltimore or the Mid-Atlantic region, with approximately 30–40% travel required.This role will focus on creating consistency, accountability, efficiency, safety, and operational standards across the warehouse network while partnering with local branch and warehouse leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesLead warehouse operations across nine locationsDevelop and implement consistent warehouse procedures and best practicesEvaluate operations and identify opportunities to improve productivity, accuracy, organization, and serviceStandardize receiving, inventory storage, picking, staging, loading, returns, transfers, and material handlingImprove inventory accuracy and reduce damaged, lost, misplaced, and obsolete materialsEstablish warehouse KPIs and performance expectationsDevelop training and accountability programs for warehouse leadershipPartner with branch and warehouse managers to resolve operational challengesImprove coordination between warehouse, purchasing, sales, installation, and branch operationsEvaluate staffing, equipment, layouts, racking, and workflowPromote consistent safety procedures and complianceSupport warehouse technology, inventory systems, and process improvementsVisit locations regularly to evaluate operations, coach leadership, and maintain standardsSupport acquisitions, integrations, relocations, expansions, and other operational projectsIdeal Background7+ years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or operations experienceMulti-location warehouse leadership experience strongly preferredProven ability to standardize processes across multiple facilitiesStrong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse best practicesExperience managing and developing warehouse managers and supervisorsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsFlooring, building materials, construction supply, or related industry experience preferredFlooring installation logistics or installer scheduling experience is a plusStrong communication and leadership skillsWillingness to travel approximately 30–40%What We're Looking ForWe are seeking a hands-on operational leader who can establish consistent standards across multiple locations while maintaining the flexibility needed at the branch level.
