• 3 years of experience
• Strong organizational skills
• General ledger and accounting cycle knowledge
• Proficiency with cash receipts, accounts payable, queries in PeopleSoft, electronic file archival, Excel data entry and Pivot Table manipulation, and approval hierarchies
• Certified Mgmt. Accountant preferred
• Certified Public Accountant preferred

Length of Assignment: 6 months Schedule: Mon-Fri, 5x8 Days (generally business hours) *Must be willing to get flu vaccine* Job Summary: The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing accounting & financial reporting functions, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. This is an incredibly detail-oriented position that is heavily weighted toward administrative tasks with minimal general ledger work. General ledger and accounting cycle knowledge is nonetheless critical as is familiarity to the point of proficiency with cash receipts, accounts payable, queries in Peoplesoft, electronic file archival, Excel data entry and Pivot Table manipulation, and approval hierarchies.

• Collects information necessary to prepare monthly journal entries & account reconciliations.
• Monitors general ledger account activity & reconciles general ledger accounts.
• Reviews, investigates & corrects errors & inconsistencies in financial entries, documents & reports.
