Rhino Medical is seeking a Board Certified Breast Imaging Radiologist for an exceptional onsite locum tenens opportunity in Rochester, New York. This high-level academic-affiliated assignment offers a dynamic breast imaging environment, advanced procedural exposure, collaborative subspecialty support, and the opportunity to work alongside highly respected physicians, residents, and fellows within one of the Northeast’s premier academic medical communities.

Schedule Details

• Monday-Friday
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Four weeks per month preferred
• No nights
• No weekends
• No call coverage

Clinical Responsibilities

• Interpret diagnostic mammography studies
• Perform breast imaging procedures and biopsies
• Read screening mammography studies as needed
• Support comprehensive breast imaging workflows within a high-volume department
• Collaborate with residents and fellows throughout the clinical day
• Participate in an academic teaching environment with active trainee engagement
• Maintain MQSA compliance standards
• Deliver high-quality diagnostic interpretation and patient-centered care

Practice Environment

• Advanced academic-affiliated breast imaging setting
• High-volume diagnostic mammography environment
• Typical diagnostic workload includes approximately 30–40 diagnostic cases daily
• Biopsy-focused days may include approximately 6–7 procedures daily
• Collaborative resident and fellow teaching environment
• Strong multidisciplinary and subspecialty support
• Sophisticated imaging technology and workflow integration
• Highly supportive physician and operational staff culture
• EPIC EMR platform

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified Radiologist
• MQSA Certified
• Fellowship Training Required
• Active New York License Required
• Comfortable performing breast imaging procedures and biopsies
• Strong mammography experience required
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume academic environment
• Willingness to teach residents and fellows required
• Additional subspecialty reading flexibility is a plus
