Strategic Finance & Business Operations Lead

The Role: We’re looking for a Strategic Finance & Business Operations Lead to own the financial and analytical work behind some of Blossom’s most important business decisions and revenue drivers. This is not a generic BizOps role. You’ll spend a significant amount of your time digging into the economics of the business: understanding our revenue structure, building financial models, evaluating new opportunities, and turning complex financial and operational data into decisions. You'll also directly own key commercial aspects of the business including relationships and workflows with health insurance payors and other strategic counterparties. You’ll report directly to our Founder and work closely with leaders across the company as we scale. You’ll help answer questions that directly influence how we grow, where we invest, and how we build the business High trust and autonomy: Own meaningful work from day one, with the freedom to shape how problems are approached and solved Talent-dense team: Work alongside a top-percentile team with high standards, intellectual curiosity, and a shared ambition to build something consequential We move with speed and purpose: We value people who can move quickly, get deep into the details, and turn analysis into action What You’ll Do: Own financial analysis and modeling across revenue, growth, unit economics, and strategic initiatives Develop a deep understanding of Blossom’s revenue structure and identify opportunities to improve the economics of the business Build models and analyses that inform company-level decisions around growth, investment, resource allocation, and new opportunities Partner with the Founder and business leaders on high-priority strategic and operational projects Translate complex financial and operational data into clear recommendations and actionable decisions Build reporting, forecasting, and analytical processes as the company scales Evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, markets, and strategic initiatives from both a financial and operational perspective Move beyond the analysis and execute on the opportunities you identify You'll Be a Good Fit If: You have 2–6 years of professional experience, with a strong foundation in finance and financial analysis You have experience in investment banking, equity research, private equity, hedge funds, or another rigorous investing/financial environment You’re exceptionally strong in financial modeling and comfortable getting deep into revenue structures, unit economics, and business performance You have a track record of outperforming in highly selective, demanding environments You can take a complicated or ambiguous question, structure it quickly, and arrive at a thoughtful answeryou’re exceptionally strong in financial modeling and comfortable… actually this line was already included above. Bonus: You’ve spent several years in investment banking or another rigorous finance environment and have since moved into strategic finance, business operations, or a similar role at a high-growth startup.
