Data Center Technician

Data Center TechnicianLooking for an experienced Data Center Technician to work for our customer at their Datacenters located in Ashburn, Virginia and Denver, Colorado. Will be responsible for managing Data Center operations which require physical presence at the datacenter. Should have good expertise in network administration and maintenance of the same in the datacenter and should be able to resolve complex issues. Should have experience in planning & redesigning of Datacenter for any optimization and cost reduction. Collaboborate with Vendors and other data center stakeholders for efficient Data Center operationsMonitor, diagnose, and resolve complex network and computer system issuesManage and administer servers, networks, and applications such as DNS, FTP, and WebMaintain internal network structure of a data center by managing routers and keeping them runningInstall, configure, and maintain switches, servers, firewalls, and hard drivesTroubleshoot network systems to identify and fix performance issuesProvide solutions to complex problems on the integration of various technologiesDesign plans as well as lead initiatives for the optimization and restructuring of network architectureMaintain an up-to-date knowledge of network administration and firmware integrationMonitor the environmental conditions of a data center to ensure they are optimum for servers, routers, and other devicesPerform system repairs and update software/operating systemsCalibrate and monitor data center servers to ensure efficient performanceCollaborate with IT handlers, sales, and data center managers to develop action plan for improved operationsConduct inspections on power and cooling systems to ensure they are operational and efficientOrganize the floor space that harbor data center equipment to allow for easy accessibilityResolve operational, infrastructure or hardware incidents in a data center.
