Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy professional is needed to support warehouse operations in a six-month contract role based in Elgin, IL. This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., focusing on medication management, inventory control, and regulatory compliance within a warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of medications, including refrigerated and specialty items.
• Manage inventory levels by ordering medications and supplies while minimizing waste and expired products.
• Ensure proper storage conditions in compliance with USP standards and state/federal regulations.
• Verify medication orders prior to preparation or shipment.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians involved in inventory, picking, packing, and shipping tasks.
• Coordinate with sterile compounding pharmacists and technicians to maintain availability of medications and supplies for patient orders.
• Review controlled substance inventory and maintain thorough documentation.
• Perform cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and quality assurance audits.
• Collaborate with purchasing, nursing, and operations teams to facilitate timely medication delivery.
• Utilize pharmacy software and inventory management systems to track medications and supplies.

Qualifications:

• Active and clear Illinois Pharmacy License required.
• Some knowledge of intravenous (IV) medication preparation and handling.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Experience supervising pharmacy staff preferred.
• Familiarity with USP standards and regulatory requirements.
