Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic education location as an unarmed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will bring integrity, teamwork, and a reliable presence while contributing to a welcoming campus environment through routine patrols and responsive support.

- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with supervisors and/or campus response partners as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe campus activity, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to support daily operations at the location.
- Assist with directions, information requests, and post orders while maintaining awareness of surroundings and following Allied Universal standards and location protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
