Project Scheduler

An experienced Project Scheduler is sought to support a major power generation construction project. In this role, serving as the owner's representative, the individual will provide schedule oversight, variance analysis, field progress validation, and concise reporting. The position involves close collaboration with the EPC contractor, equipment supplier, project managers, and field personnel to support schedule accuracy and project visibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze weekly schedule updates provided by the EPC contractor.
• Perform schedule variance analysis and identify impacts to key milestones.
• Create variance filter reports and clear, high-level schedule narratives.
• Use Oracle Primavera P6 to review, monitor, and report on project schedules.
• Coordinate schedule reviews involving the EPC contractor and equipment supplier.
• Conduct regular field walks to validate reported progress against actual construction activity.
• Monitor work including foundations, structural installation, piping, and duct banks.
• Communicate schedule risks and findings during weekly progress reviews.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager without overstepping project management responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

The position requires 5-15 years of hands-on project scheduling experience, including industrial construction scheduling. Candidates must possess strong Oracle Primavera P6 experience, with recent exposure to modern versions being preferred. The role demands the ability to perform detailed schedule and variance analysis, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills for creating accurate and concise narrative reports. The ability and willingness to work onsite full-time and perform field progress verification are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in power generation, combustion turbine, combined-cycle, utility, data center, or large manufacturing projects.
• Experience working with EPC contractors and owner organizations.
• Experience coordinating separate contractor and equipment supplier schedules.
• Experience supporting large, complex capital construction projects.

Additional Information

Per diem may be available for qualifying out-of-state candidates. The initial interview is virtual, and finalists may be invited for an onsite project visit.
