About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President and Chief Development Officer (VPCDO) to lead its philanthropic efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership in all fundraising activities, with a focus on advancing the organization's mission and transforming care delivery for a vulnerable population. This role involves overseeing all aspects of development, including major gifts, online giving, planned giving, and events, and implementing best-practice fundraising systems to enhance the unit's operations. The VPCDO will also be a key advocate for the organization, raising awareness of its initiatives at the state and national levels, and will work to build a broader external fundraising base and identify new affiliations. The ideal candidate for the VPCDO position at the company will have a proven track record in leading a philanthropy team within a healthcare or mission-based organization. They should be an innovative leader with exceptional relationship-building skills, capable of engaging board and volunteer leadership effectively. The role requires a candidate with a strategic vision, a focus on building and mentoring high-performing teams, and a commitment to the success of development initiatives. The VPCDO will be instrumental in shaping the organization's strategic vision and will be expected to have a visible and engaged presence across the campus and the broader community.
