County Fiscal Officer 1 (Local Government)

Responsibilities General Ledger Work: Complete reconciliations and prepare journal entries Financial Tracking: Maintain fixed asset lists and update depreciation schedules Cash Management: Process transfers and monitor available funds Invoice Processing: Prepare, review, and verify vendor invoices Report Preparation: Compile recurring program and financial reports Policy Support: Assist with budgets, audits, and fiscal procedures Work Schedule and Additional Information Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch Overtime and travel may be required Telework: This position does not permit telework Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable Further communication regarding this position will be provided via email. Qualifications Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years as a Fiscal Technician and six college credits in accounting; or Five years of bookkeeping experience and six college credits in accounting; or Three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business related associate's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or One year of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business–related bachelor's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or An equivalent combination of experience and training supplemented by six college credits in accounting. Hiring preference may be given to candidates who live within Potter County. If no eligible candidates who live within Potter County apply, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
