Assembly Technician

AssemblerLocation: Richmond, VA Duration: 06 Months Shift Time: 2nd ShiftFraming fabricates and assembles frames for refrigeration systems for environmental test equipment according to blueprints and schematic drawings and knowledge of refrigeration systems.What You'll Be Responsible For In This Role:Read blueprints, text, or schematic drawings to determine location, size, capacity and type of components such as tubing, or piping needed to build equipmentRead and comprehend a job order and bill of materialsMay assemble and mount electrical wiring circuits, coils, controls, and recording devicesRequired to fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts using drill, screw gun, and other tools required for the jobIdentify power and hand tools used on their assigned product linePerforms any assembly-type function, using hand or power toolsUtilize appropriate information given on material gauging and dimensioningRead rulers, tape measurers, metal squares, and other measuring instrumentsFasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fastenersIdentify maintenance needed on equipment and toolingWork at different workstations as production needs requireMaintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly mannerUse proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual's product line or work cellPerform other duties as assignedTo Be A Great Fit For The Role:Team oriented – values the synergy of a team and operates as a team playerEffectively collaborates, engages others in discussion and is hands-on in problem solvingA fast learner able to quickly come up to speed on business processes to manage and serve the needs of the organizationA passion for getting things rightCan-do attitude, committed to finding solutionsDemonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematic drawingsDemonstrated proficiency with handheld tools and other measuring devicesDemonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication and/or instructionPhysical Demands:Occasionally – Sitting, Climbing/Balancing, Stooping/Twisting, Kneeling, Squatting, Crawling and Lift/Carry up to 50lbs alone, up to 100lbs assistedFrequently – Standing, Walking, Pushing/Pulling, Reaching, Gripping, Pinching, Neck Rotation/Extension and Lift/Carry up to 50lbsConstantly – Foot Use, Visual Acuity (Near/Far) and Lift/Carry up to 10lbs
