Project EngineerExciting Project Engineer position with an established firm – major energy company. Contract Duration: 3 months with extension to 12 months with high potential for contract to hire. Location: Cedar Rapids, IowaRequired Skills & ExperienceOur client, a major energy company, is looking for a Project Engineer for projects supporting Miniature Circuit breakers portfolio.What You Will Be DoingLead product changes such as new material selection, production line transfers, change of suppliers for different component's categories as sheet metal, molded plastics, packaging, stamped parts.Conduct mechanical / electric performance test plans for verification and validation purposes per design guidelines and codes and standards.Experience Requirements3+ years of experience as a Project Engineer or in a closely related engineering role, preferably within the energy, electrical, or manufacturing sector.Proven track record managing product changes and engineering projects involving material selection, production transfers, or supplier changes.Demonstrated experience working with miniature circuit breakers, sheet metal, molded plastics, packaging, or stamped parts is highly desirable.Background in supporting mechanical and electrical testing for product verification and validation, including adherence to industry design guidelines and applicable codes/standards.Hands-on experience with coordinating cross-functional teams, such as design, production, and quality assurance, in a fast-paced or contract environment.Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to electrical components and products.Experience with project documentation, reporting, and communicating technical changes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.You will receive the following benefits:Medical Insurance - Four medical plans to choose from for you and your familyDental & Orthodontia BenefitsVision BenefitsHealth Savings Account (HSA)Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending AccountsVoluntary Life Insurance, Long-Term & Short-Term Disability InsuranceHospital Indemnity Insurance401(k) including match with pre and post-tax optionsPaid Sick Time LeaveLegal and Identity Protection PlansPre-tax Commuter Benefit529 College Saver PlanMotion Recruitment Partners (MRP) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
