Location Milpitas, CA (hybrid) Role Overview Staff SaaS Platform Architect – as part of the Partner Platform team, you will lead the technical direction of Arlo’s Partner Platform, a foundation that enables strategic B2B integrations across its connected device ecosystem. Responsibilities Lead the architectural direction of the Arlo Partner Platform through proven experience architecting enterprise SaaS platforms. Own the API and event interfaces that partners rely on, maintaining compliance with open standards such as OpenAPI and REST while ensuring extensibility, maintainability, and ease of use. Drive AI‑first development by integrating agentic workflows into next‑generation applications and services. Help define a microservice architecture supporting a global‑scale, high‑availability, multi‑cloud infrastructure that balances performance and cost. Guide teams with a developer‑centric, platform‑first mindset focused on good API practices, ease of integration, documentation, observability, and reliability. Bridge product and engineering objectives with strong written and verbal communication skills. Own high‑level technical architecture documents and regularly present progress and plans to senior leadership. Requirements 8+ years of software engineering experience and demonstrated ownership of large‑scale, distributed SaaS architectures. Strong experience designing RESTful APIs and managing API lifecycles, including versioning, compatibility, and documentation. Experience with microservice architecture in cloud‑native environments; enterprise AWS experience preferred. Knowledge of consumer IoT devices and/or mobile application development is highly desired but not required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to internal and external stakeholders, including executive briefs. Experience with Java or similar language and excellent working knowledge of Linux. Experience with AI‑driven development workflows and tools (e.g., Cursor, ClaudeCode). Experience with agentic systems and audio/video streaming standards is a plus. Compensation Base salary range: USD$155,000–225,000 per year. Total compensation may include bonus, equity, and a full range of benefits depending on role, experience, and other factors.
