Specimen Processor

Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor to prepare laboratory specimens for testing and analysis in Chantilly, Virginia. The role involves unpacking, labeling, routing, and shipping specimens while maintaining accurate data entry and meeting production goals. Evening shift position (Monday-Friday, 8:00 PM - 12:00 AM).
Responsibilities
- Unpack and route specimens to designated staging areas
- Identify, label, and prepare specimens for analysis
- Pack and ship specimens to appropriate testing facilities
- Enter patient information accurately and timely
- Document and resolve problem specimens
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to handle biological specimens safely
- Accurate specimen identification and labeling skills
- Strong data entry and organizational abilities
- Capacity to lift up to 40 pounds
- Pass standardized color blindness test
- Proficiency in MS Office
Compensation: $17.75 - $20.00 per hour
