Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Specialty Location: Indianapolis N, IN (Field – United States) Primary Role: The Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) serves as the primary point of contact for regional thought leaders and physicians, engaging them with scientific dialogue to promote BMS cardiovascular products. The TAS drives demand, builds customer relationships, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to deliver an optimal customer experience. Position Summary The TAS is field‑based and focuses on supporting health care providers in adopting BMS medicines. The role emphasizes scientific expertise, account planning, and safe product use while achieving business results and maintaining BMS values. Key Responsibilities Promote approved indications of BMS products within the territory to meet or exceed sales targets. Create demand for products by articulating clinical and scientific rationale. Maintain high scientific expertise in assigned products and therapeutic areas. Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans. Use tools such as SOPHIA to gain insights and inform call plans. Provide feedback to leadership to improve tools and processes. Demonstrate scientific expertise using approved resources and publications. Conduct in‑office presentations and discuss product information consistent with label. Organize external speaker programs and manage scheduling. Maintain expertise on emerging data for approved indications. Engage real‑time medical support to answer complex inquiries. Collaborate with field teams to ensure best customer experience. Share relevant insights internally to improve customer service. Required Qualifications & Experience Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing roles. Strong communication skills for conveying scientific data clearly. Experience building credibility with key customers and stakeholders. Experience in cardiovascular preferred. Strong account management and selling skills with a track record of exceeding goals. Effective cross‑functional teamwork and positive attitude. Compensation Overview Field – United States Base Salary: $134,390 – $162,843 Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available.
