Step into an important educational support role assisting K-12 students in a contract paraprofessional position. This onsite opportunity, located near Anaheim, CA, is seeking a candidate ready to begin work on Monday, 4/13. Your ability to effectively work with students exhibiting aggressive behaviors will be essential for success in this environment, making a lasting, positive impact on those who need it most.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage and de-escalate aggressive behaviors
- Familiarity with K-12 student populations and their diverse needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with teachers and support staff
- Patient, adaptable, and calm under pressure
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
- Must be available and prepared to start site-based work on Monday, 4/13
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to K-12 students in classroom settings, including those needing behavioral or academic assistance
- Implement teacher-led strategies, including behavior intervention plans
- Assist with classroom management and ensure a safe, structured learning environment
- Offer guidance to students on positive behavior and conflict resolution
- Facilitate engagement and academic participation in line with individual learning goals
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers as needed
