Position Overview East Hampton, NY – Salary Range: $21.98/hr – $32.97/hr. Hiring immediately. $2,000 new hire sign‑on bonus payable after completing 6 months of employment. Benefits Excellent starting salary plus incentives Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, pre‑tax transit, health and life and disability insurance Paid vacation time, sick time and 11 company paid holidays 401(k) with up to 4% match Up to $5,250 tuition reimbursement Universal Banker Role The Universal Banker (UB) serves as a full‑service, single point of contact for Apple Bank clientele, providing prompt, courteous, and efficient handling of monetary and account‑related transactions. The role integrates customer service representative and teller functions, delivering quality service at an enhanced level and supporting branch sales and service goals. Responsibilities • Provide exceptional customer service, engaging clients professionally and resolving service‑related issues promptly. • Conduct business ethically, communicating facts and features of Apple Bank products, accounts, and services. • Identify opportunities to acquire new banking relationships by engaging customers and prospects, offering suitable products, and making referrals to licensed representatives when appropriate. • Acquire and deepen relationships with existing and potential customers to achieve team sales and referral goals. • Handle teller operations, process transactions according to policy, prove daily transactions, safeguard cash and negotiable instruments, and maintain vault, safe, and ATM operational integrity. • Communicate disclosures, rules, regulations, and FDIC protection to customers during account openings. • Ensure accurate new‑account record‑keeping and conduct timely follow‑up as needed. • Adhere to regulatory, compliance, security, and audit policies, including CIP and BSA requirements. • Assist in training and mentoring new tellers, customer service representatives, and Universal Bankers. • Attend educational workshops to build and maintain technical knowledge. • Perform additional duties as requested. Qualifications • High school diploma or GED required. • Minimum 1–2 years retail banking experience in teller and/or customer service representative roles. • General understanding of banking operations (risk, compliance, fraud, loss, etc.) preferred. • Experience fostering strong customer relationships. • Ability to maintain detailed knowledge of banking products and services. • Willingness to be cross‑trained in other branch functions. • Excellent problem‑solving skills and a confident, professional, and positive demeanor. • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, including phone skills. • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented. • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Capacity to exercise sound judgment and discretion with confidential information. • Willingness to work weekends, extended hours, or fill in at neighboring branches; occasional travel for mandatory training may be required. • Visa sponsorship not available.
