Senior Accountant (Full Time) Saint Paul, MN, US Salary Range: $79,040.00 To $88,920.00 Annually Sign on Bonus : Sign on Bonus of $600 (Half paid out at 3 months and the other half at 12 months). As our Senior Accountant , you’re the person who makes sure every dollar is tracked, every grant requirement is met, and every leader has the accurate financial insight they need to make confident decisions. Your work behind the numbers is what keeps our mission‑driven programs running strong. This role sits at the center of a genuinely complex funding structure: federal and state grants, foundation funding, and county per diem billing all rolled into one organization’s financial operations. You bring order and accuracy to that complexity, ensuring full compliance while giving leadership the clear financial picture they need to plan ahead. Experience as an auditor is a strong plus, especially given the compliance‑heavy nature of this role. This is a full‑time, onsite position, in-office four days per week, 1.0 FTE. No direct reports, but direct impact on the financial foundation of the entire organization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred; and 3 years’ accounting experience. An associates degree and senior accounting experience can be substituted on a year-for-year basis. A clear understanding of GAAP and demonstrated accounting knowledge Experience with and knowledge of computerized accounting systems Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel Strong oral and written communication skills 3‑5 years of senior accounting in a non‑profit organization required Essential Competencies Use of Intacct software preferred Ability to communicate effectively with staff and external agencies Solid problem‑solving and team‑building skills Demonstrated ability to foster and maintain cooperative relationships Ability to operate in rapidly changing or ambiguous circumstances Strong self‑management and time management skills Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
