Position Assistant Professor (Tenure‑Track) in Latino politics, with a focus on the U.S. context, at the Department of Political Science and International Relations, Loyola Marymount University. Appointment Details Tenure‑track faculty appointment beginning August15,2027. Full‑time, 9‑month academic schedule (August‑May) with a 40% research, 40% teaching, 20% service model. Teaching load follows a 2‑2‑2‑3 rotation. Annual salary of $100,000, paid in 12 equal installments with full benefits coverage. Position may not be eligible for visa sponsorship. Responsibilities Develop and teach courses in Latino politics and immigration politics for undergraduate students. Maintain an active program of scholarship in Latino and immigration politics. Advise undergraduate students and engage in department and university service. Participate in service activities at the academic, professional, and community levels. Promote inclusive excellence in teaching, research, and service. Qualifications Ph.D. in Political Science (or a related discipline) completed by the start date. Demonstrated record of research and scholarly publications in Latino and immigration politics. Commitment to inclusive pedagogy and working with diverse student populations. Ability to contribute to department and university mission of justice, equity, and the common good.
