ABOUT THE FIRM

Kingfisher Recruiting has been hired by Fram & Fram, CPAs to find an experienced bookkeeper. Fram & Fram is a locally established CPA firm in Rochester Hills providing bookkeeping, payroll, tax, and advisory services to individuals and businesses. The firm combines the technical experience of a larger accounting practice with the responsiveness and personal service of a local team.

POSITION SUMMARY

Fram & Fram is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support a portfolio of small-business clients. This person will maintain accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, prepare routine reports, and help clients keep their books organized and current.

The right candidate is comfortable managing multiple client accounts, meeting recurring deadlines, and communicating directly with clients to resolve questions and obtain missing information. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper who values accuracy, variety, and a professional small-firm environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Maintain accurate general ledgers for multiple clients

- Record and categorize transactions, journal entries, and adjustments

- Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and other balance-sheet accounts

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activity

- Assist with payroll processing and related reporting

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports

- Support sales-tax filings, 1099 preparation, and other compliance work

- Review client books for discrepancies and resolve outstanding items

- Communicate with clients to gather records and answer bookkeeping questions

- Maintain organized digital files and complete work by established deadlines

- Assist the tax team with clean, accurate year-end books and supporting schedules

- Protect confidential client and financial information

QUALIFICATIONS

- Two or more years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred

- Experience supporting multiple businesses or clients is strongly preferred

- Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online; QuickBooks Desktop experience is a plus

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and common office software

- Understanding of debits and credits, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statements

- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through

- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work independently

- Clear, professional communication with clients and coworkers

- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business is preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered

- QuickBooks certification is a plus
