Registered Respiratory Therapist Night Shift

This position requires working nights, totaling 36 hours per week from Sunday to Tuesday. The schedule rotates every other week to include Wednesday night.

A Registered Respiratory Therapist is needed to provide patient care in a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory modalities. This includes the management and care of patients requiring mechanical ventilation, as well as the assessment and implementation of respiratory care interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and collect diagnostic information including pulmonary function testing, sleep studies, and blood gas analysis.
• Assess patients through physical examination and interpret diagnostic data.
• Administer respiratory therapies such as medical gas therapy, humidity therapy, and aerosol therapy.
• Insert and manage artificial airways and perform airway clearance techniques.
• Monitor and assess patient reactions to therapeutic interventions.
• Participate in discharge planning and case management activities.
• Engage in public education activities aimed at promoting cardiopulmonary wellness.
• Attend mandatory safety in-services and department meetings.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Certification or registry from an accredited college or technical school.
• Active license as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Colorado.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required.
• Two years of experience in respiratory therapy is required.
