Job Position: Shipping/Receiving Clerk (Inventory Control Coordinator) Job Type: Full-Time Location: Orange City, IA Pay Rate: Based on Experience Job Summary: 1st Shift - 6:00 AM-3:30 PM, Monday-Friday Description: Short Staffed is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk (Inventory Control Coordinator) to support production by replenishing departments throughout the plant and ensuring production employees have the materials needed to maintain an uninterrupted workflow. - Maintain departmental flow and cleanliness using 5S principles
- Retrieve components and materials using mobile carts
- Kit materials according to work instructions
- Match job numbers to the appropriate kits
- Place required kits and materials on carts and deliver them to designated areas
- Update part completion information in the computer
- Package parts as needed
- Place parts in designated oven areas or warm rooms as required
- Maintain general supplies on carts to keep production operators at their workstations
- Communicate with operators and other departments to obtain and deliver supplies and materials
- Ensure the correct parts and materials are received, shipped, and produced according to the production schedule
- Perform other duties as assigned
- One year of directly related manufacturing experience preferred
- Warehousing experience is a plus
- Shipping and receiving experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of employees
- Ability to understand written instructions and follow demonstrated procedures
- Basic math skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to safely move materials throughout the facility
