This position is hourly non-exempt reporting directly to the Accounting Manager. Evening and/or weekend OT will be required of this position as needed.RESPONSIBILITIESListed responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:Supports the Senior Accountant and Accounting Manager with month-end flux analysis and variance explanationsReviews transactions for proper GL coding, documentation, and supporting detailContributes and engages in the month end close processPrepares journal entries: reversing, recurring and standardReconciles assigned asset and liability accounts in a timely mannerResolves accounting discrepancies associated with account balances and reconciliationsAnalyzes assigned expense accounts; researches variances from budget and prepares entries for appropriate corrections or accrualsPrepares monthly and quarterly reports as assignedAssists in implementing appropriate accounting policies and procedures and internal controlsUnderstands financial policies and standard operating procedure and continues to improve accounting processes and proceduresPrepares financial audit schedules and documents as assignedPerforms general clerical duties as necessaryDemonstrates a high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude, quality of work, attendance, and teamworkAdheres to all Company Policies & Procedures and Safety Regulations Ability to be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessaryPREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCESBachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred2+ years accounting experienceExperience must demonstrate comprehension of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Ability to analyze financial dataExcellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel), including the ability to work with large data sets, formulas, pivot tables, and data analysisExperience with Sage Intacct or another ERP system preferredStrong Attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within the accounting teamQUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTSIf offered a position, all applicants will go through our pre-hire process which includes the following:Criminal background checkMotor Vehicle Report reviewVerification of identity and eligibility to work in the United States upon hiringBENEFITS & PERKSPaid Vacation, Sick leave, and HolidaysMedical, Dental & Vision, other voluntary benefit options availableThe company paid Life, AD&D with Long Term Disability policy providing income protection401k Retirement Plan with company MatchAt Southwest Dealer Services: Acrisure Protection Group | KARR Security, we are committed to creating a workplace that values and celebrates diversity.
