MFT is seeking a dedicated, hardworking and reliable candidate who will have the ability to complete all necessary training in order to become a competent, effective, and successful Production Line Operator.

Summary

The Masker in our FAA (Federal Aviation Authority) department will be expected to perform simple masking of required part features with appropriate masking materials (such as tape and wax) to protect some areas on the part from processing, mainly from metal plating. Insuring and validating all operations to prepare and plate aerospace parts.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to use hands for continuous, repetitive motion
• Must be flexible with work schedule

• Must be detail oriented and quick learner

• Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs on a frequent basis
• Aerospace manufacturing experience required

Essential Duties:

• Maintain established masking procedures per work instructions/specifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and industry specifications to accurately assess masking requirements specified.
• Communicate any issues as they may come up to your supervisor and/or Quality.

• Responsible for preparing raw material for masking to include, but not limited to hand wiping and blowing out holes.

• Clean surfaces of work pieces in preparation for coating, using cleaning fluids, solvents, brushes, scrapers, steam, sandpaper, or cloth.
• Familiar and able to work with precision cutting tools such as X-ACTO style blades/knives, razor blades, wire cutters, insertion tools, pliers, etc.
• Ability to identify process improvements that will allow for better or faster techniques while maintaining or improving the quality of the job.
• Understand, adhere, and demonstrate to the company’s commitment to safety and quality

• Work in a team environment by assisting other maskers, inspectors and machine operators as needed.
• Maintains a clean working environment
• Other duties as assigned

The pay range for this role is 22 USD - 25 USD per hour. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. MFT considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
