This position is ideal for a banking professional who enjoys building lasting customer relationships, developing new business, and helping individuals and businesses find lending solutions that support their financial goals. As a Loan Officer, you will be an important part of growing First Service Bank’s presence in the Greenbrier market while providing the personal, community-focused service our customers expect. What You’ll Do: Develop, manage, and grow a quality loan portfolio while maintaining strong customer relationships. Identify and develop new lending and deposit relationships within the Greenbrier market. Meet with prospective and existing customers to understand their financial needs and recommend appropriate lending solutions. Interview loan applicants and obtain necessary financial and credit information. Evaluate loan requests, financial information, collateral, credit history, and other relevant factors to determine creditworthiness. Structure loan requests in accordance with the Bank’s lending policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Work closely with Credit Analysts, Loan Assistants, and other team members throughout the lending process. Monitor existing loan relationships and proactively address changes in credit quality, documentation, or customer needs. Develop new business through referrals, networking, community involvement, and relationship-building activities. Represent First Service Bank throughout the Greenbrier community and actively promote the Bank’s products and services. Maintain knowledge of lending regulations, Bank policies, products, and industry trends. Perform other lending and business development projects/tasks as assigned. What We’re Looking For: Strong relationship-building and business development skills Knowledge of lending practices, credit analysis, and loan documentation Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to develop and maintain professional customer and community relationships Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Service-oriented skill set Professional appearance, dress, and attitude Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment including copy machine, telephone, and computer Ability to operate a motor vehicle to attend customer visits, community events, off-site meetings, and training as needed Must be able to speak, read, and write English Availability: Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and after-hours events, to support business development, community involvement, and Bank-sponsored activities.
