Special Education Teacher – Philadelphia, PA
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Position Type: Full-Time School-Based Opportunity
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers to join our team supporting students in Philadelphia-area schools. This is an exciting opportunity for educators who are passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences and helping students with diverse needs reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in accordance with student needs and educational goals
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and school staff
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to support academic, behavioral, and social growth
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow all state and school requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field required
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education certification preferred/required
- Experience working with students with disabilities in a classroom setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, differentiated instruction, and behavior support strategies
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to supporting students with a wide range of learning needs
