This full-time, onsite position is available on a contract basis from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with five openings—four in elementary schools and one at the middle school level. With 35 hours per week, you’ll make a powerful impact while collaborating within a dedicated team focused on student growth.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania special education certification or licensure appropriate for the assigned caseload
• Bachelor’s degree (required for emergency teaching permit, if applicable)
• Demonstrated mastery of special education instructional methods and related subject matter
• Prior experience working in an urban school setting
• Strong classroom and behavioral management skills
• Previous school-based experience
• Ability to align lesson plans with current state and district standards, utilizing formative assessments and instructional differentiation
• Capable of completing all required Pennsylvania clearances
• Reliable transportation
• Availability to work onsite between 8:30AM and 4PM
• Comfortable adapting to the culture and expectations of urban schools and district guidelines

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver specialized instruction tailored to meet the diverse needs of students
• Create and implement lesson plans in accordance with district and state standards
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment emphasizing strong behavioral management
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Participate in team meetings and required trainings
• Engage in ongoing professional development
