About the Position

RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) | Nights

Location: Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC
Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Every other weekend

Unit Highlights:

• 44-bed Progressive Care Unit
• 4:1 patient ratio (up to 5:1 when needed)
• EMR: Cerner
• Float to Step-Down and Med-Surg units

Required:

• Active RN License
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Neuro and Trauma care experience

Responsibilities:

• Neuro/spinal assessments
• Chest tube and PCA pump management
• IV infusions
• Lumbar drains
• Feeding tubes
• Blood transfusions

Equipment: IV pumps, SkyLift, patient lifts, chest tubes, trach care equipment.

Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs.

Ideal Candidate: Team player with excellent patient-focused care and strong neuro/trauma nursing skills.
