Director of Manufacturing

DIRECTOR OF MANUFACTURING | AEROSPACE & DEFENSE

Location: Columbus, Mississippi

Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time

Salary: $150,000 – $180,000 Base + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

I'm partnering with a growing Aerospace & Defense organization seeking an experienced Director of Manufacturing to lead and optimize manufacturing operations. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and business growth.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

Leading manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives

Developing and executing manufacturing strategies aligned with company growth goals

Driving Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement initiatives

• Partnering with executive leadership on production planning, resource allocation, and future capabilities

Overseeing manufacturing teams, facilities, budgets, and capital investments

Implementing process improvements and new technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Building, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred)

10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience within Aerospace or Defense

Experience supporting both prototype and production manufacturing programs

Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ERP systems

Demonstrated success improving operational performance, reducing costs, and increasing profitability

Experience supporting Aerospace & Defense OEM programs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Lean Six Sigma Certification

• Multi-site manufacturing leadership experience

• Experience in highly regulated Aerospace & Defense environments
