Work Environment

This position is situated onsite at our advanced surgical center located in Clay, New York. Our facility is designed to provide a safe and efficient environment for both outpatient and inpatient pain management services. Working closely with a diverse healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and case managers, you will engage in a variety of clinical settings, from pre-operative assessments to post-operative follow-ups, thereby enhancing the continuity of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' pain levels and treatment progress, utilizing advanced diagnostic skills to develop individualized care plans.
• Implement treatment protocols, including medication management, physical rehabilitation, and interventional procedures under the direction of supervising physicians.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize discharge planning and ensure comprehensive follow-up post-hospitalization.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and interactions, ensuring compliance with insurance regulations and contributing to the facility’s quality metrics.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding pain management strategies and lifestyle modifications, promoting long-term health and engagement in their own care.
• Participate in periodic on-call schedules to provide care continuity for patients requiring immediate attention during off-hours.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on patients suffering from various forms of chronic and acute pain, necessitating personalized care strategies. Common conditions treated include osteoarthritis, back pain, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain syndromes. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient demographic, including the elderly, who may have complex co-morbidities, as well as younger patients seeking recovery from injury.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies is required.
• An active Physician Assistant license in New York State, demonstrating your commitment to maintaining professional standards.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a pain management or related setting, showing your expertise in handling such specialized care.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills essential for effective patient interaction and team collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits

As part of our commitment to our employees, we offer a competitive salary range of USD 150,000 – 180,000 annually.
