Bookkeeper

A growing organization is seeking a detail‑focused FullCharge Bookkeeper to support end‑to‑end payroll processing, general ledger activities, and financial operations. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys optimizing processes, and brings strong technical accuracy to payroll and accounting functions. Key Responsibilities Manage full‑cycle payroll for multi‑state, bi‑weekly and semi‑monthly payrolls, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. Maintain and audit employee payroll data, tax withholding, benefits deductions, and wage garnishments. Prepare, reconcile, and submit payroll‑related journal entries and month‑end close activities. Support general ledger accounting , including account reconciliations and variance analysis. Assist with AP/AR functions , expense reimbursements, and financial reporting tasks as needed. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws. Partner with HR and Finance teams to streamline processes and improve internal controls. Prepare payroll metrics, reports, and ad‑hoc financial analysis for leadership. Qualifications 4+ years of experience in payroll, accounting, or a combined finance operations role. Strong understanding of FLSA , multi‑state payroll rules, and payroll tax fundamentals. Experience with payroll systems (ADP, UKG, Paycom, Workday, etc.). Solid knowledge of basic accounting principles (GAAP preferred). Advanced proficiency with Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations). Strong analytical skills, accuracy in data review, and ability to meet tight deadlines. CPP or FPC certification a plus, but not required.
