TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Saint Louis, Missouri, 63110!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of ICU experience required. License: Pending license accepted. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS required. Must-Have: Experience in a 20+ bed ICU. Description: Can sign for 36 or 48 hours per week. Start date is 3-4 weeks out per compliance tier. Ratios are 1:2. If less than 2 years of experience, Level I experience is required. First-timers accepted. Weekend requirement is every other weekend. Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs. Blocks schedule accommodation is not available. Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility. No more than 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract. Will need to pass an EKG exam. Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required. Skills required include pressor support, ETT, tracheostomy, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and wound care. Competence in sterile technique for line insertion, paracentesis, bedside trach placement, chest tubes, bronchoscopy, and phlebotomy is necessary. Preferred skills include CRRT experience, Swan Ganz monitoring, inhaled and IV Flolan, CVVHD, proning, and rapid transfusion. This is a short-term acute care facility. The facility is Magnet and Teaching accredited and is a Level I Trauma Center. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services and pharmacy. Daily ICU census averages 41 patients. Patients in this unit primarily present with medical diagnoses. Must be competent in caring for patients on CRRT via NxStage. Special procedures include managing emergency medications and infections. All travelers will float within the service line. Mid-contract cancellation for the purpose of accepting a different assignment is not allowed.
