MILIEU SPECIALIST - FULL-TIME NIGHTS

Milieu Specialist – Full‑Time Night Shift Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility) A growing 144‑bed behavioral health facility – Metropolitan Behavioral Health Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults, and older adults, and performs behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Programs for co‑occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility also provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family, and individual therapy. Responsibilities The Milieu Specialist provides therapeutic milieu management, training of MHTs, and monitoring of the hospital units. Milieu management includes program content and philosophy, patient management training, environmental management, and staff competency. The role is a per diem Milieu Specialist. Five years of professional experience in a mental health hospital setting. Experience as a Lead MHT. Current certification as a Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention instructor required or obtained within five months of being in the role. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to relate feedback and mentor existing and newly hired employees required. Current certification in BLS/CPR required. Work Hours This is a full‑time night shift position for 7 p – 7:30 a. Rotating weekends and holidays work is required.
